Furnace Air Blower Operation
Of course we know your furnace is natural gas fired, so solar electricity
can't help there. But, your furnace needs to move that nice, cozy,
warm air (especially on those chilly July nights like we've had
recently, as well as in January) around the house, and that takes
a fan to make that happen, and that fan is electric powered, and
electric fans are NOTORIOUS consumers of electricity (ask any one
who owns an air conditioner - it's a big fan with lots of coils
running around it) and that means high electric bills in the dead
of winter.
If you haven't had your furnace cleaned in several years, DO IT
NOW. The energy savings will pay for the cleaning, and you'll breathe
easier.
If you haven't upgraded your furnace in 15+ years, consider doing
that - the newer ones are much more efficient at heating and moving
air around. Still, if you have a big house (3,000 s.f. or more)
you may need solar electricity to help your furnace move that air
around and keep you from getting hot around the collar each time
your electric bill arrives in the mail -- call us today and let
us help you keep your cool. |
