Apollo Alliance -- the Apollo Alliance is a recent movement to promote and actively lobby for a national effort, funded by the Federal Government, to focus the effort and fund the research into alternative energy technologies in much the same way that NASA was chartered to place a person on the moon within the decade of the 1960's, so that one day in our own future, we will find ourselves no longer slaves to the petroleum being bought from the Middle East with money, blood and other treasure too costly to maintain.

National Electric Power Plant Air Pollution Locater -- this link takes you to a highly educational site where you can drill down throughout the US to each state and see just what kind of power plants are in operation there, what fuel (natural gas, coal, oil, nuclear) they use, how old they are, and how much pollution they generate, as well as how many deaths per year can be attributed to their existance and operation.
