Excellent question, and we're glad you asked. First of all, THE CUSTOMER IS KING. Everything we do is done to ensure that your experience with Sky Power Systems is first-rate and that your solar system meets or exceeds your expectations. We put top quality into everything we do, and pack it with the best value and service we can deliver, with:

  • Free on-site evaluations and a free, detailed financial analysis for all prospects
  • A one-stop shop for comprehensive services-- from initial estimates through planning and design, permits, rebates, and PG&E interconnection. All you have to do is (read and) sign some of the documents that we prepare on your behalf. For solar pool heating systems, we'll install, test and then show you how easy it is  to operate your system.
  • Simplified, one-price quoting with details added, but our assurance that what you are quoted is a "everything included" price, not some list of parts with "minor" items like sales tax, permits, or installation "left out" or placed in small text somewhere else on the page -- our price is THE price you'll pay -- NO SURPRISES!
  • The best possible quality products as rated by market share in their area of expertise, with the best warranties in their respective product category.
  • Superior execution in the field with licensed, bonded and insured (to $2 million) specialty electrical contractors (30+ years experience) and skilled roofing contractors (45+ years experience), not some C-46 with a solar hot water license, trying to do high-voltage electrical work and complex, multi-penetration roofing work themselves.
  • For solar electrical systems, 100% financing of the CEC rebate payment (we accept that check from the CEC as partial payment).
  • Detailed design of all components that address the unique needs of each of our customers.
  • Membership in all the leading industry trade groups (NCSEA, Cal-SEIA, IPP) to make sure we are up on all the latest developments in our field
  • Membership in leading consumer quality assurance organizations (Diamond Certified, Better Business Bureau, Chambers of Commerce, League of California Homeowners) to assure you that your solar system design and installation are in good hands by this hands-on organization
  • Growing by leaps and bounds -- much faster than the overall market for solar systems in California, which means we're doing something right-- call us today and experience it yourself!
  • We pay obsessive attention to the smallest details, like:
    • Making sure we don't park in your driveway when we're there for the installation - it's YOUR home, not ours!
    • Starting work at 8, and ending at 5 or earlier - no early morning shock to your system or late-night unwanted guests for dinner!
  • For solar electrical systems, our attention to detail includes:
    • Using the highest quality exterior painted plywood mounting board for installing inverters and switches to the exterior wall of your structure.
    • Insisting on an output display for all the inverters we install, so that YOU know exactly what you're getting from your investment, not just a "trust us" statement of estimated annual kWh production
    • Providing you with an estimate of monthly kWh production, so that you can check our output estimate against reality each and every month
    • Attending each and every building permit inspection in person, to make sure the job is checked out thoroughly and signed off quickly so that we can get you connected to the PG&E grid as soon as possible
    • Coordinating the PG&E interconnection process, so that you don't get hit with any embarrassing questions, and to ensure that their records are updated when they replace your old meter (with one serial number tied to your account) with a new meter (and a new serial number that must be tied properly to your account)
  • For solar pool heating systems, our attention to detail includes:
    • Using automatic solar controllers. All of our solar pool heating systems include automatic controllers. We could sell you a system where you manually operate the solar valves on a daily basis, but who wants to do that when an automatic controller is as easy to use as the thermostat that controls the heat in your house?
    • Using clear check valves. While these valves cost more than twice what cheaper ones cost, they are well worth it. Why? Because being clear, they enable you to see if and when they ever become clogged. Plus, if they do get clogged, they are easily cleaned by simply unscrewing the screws that secure the plastic cover to the valve body and removing the debris. Other, less expensive valves require the PVC to be cut and a new valve to be installed.
    • Using the highest quality PVC pipes and fittings so that the connection from your pool equipment to your panels works flawlessly.
    • Painting all PVC pipes that will be exposed to the sun. Not only will we try to match your existing house color to allow the system to better blend with your home, but painting also provides an essential layer of protection to the PVC from the sun
    • Being careful and as unobtrusive as possible to preserve your landscaping - if and when we need to dig a trench from your house to the pool equipment
    • Attending the building permit inspection in person, to make sure the job is checked out thoroughly and signed off quickly so that we can get you into your warm pool as soon as possible

So, before you sign with anyone else, give us a call and let us provide you with our detailed financial analysis - you'll notice that no one else provides this detail and you'll be very pleasantly surprised at our very aggressive pricing on the best quality equipment -- you DON'T have to sacrifice world-class quality for a world-class price.
